The Drawings of Jasper Johns
Overview: 115 of Johns' works, spanning over 35 years of his career from 1954 to 1989, were drawn from public and private collections. Nan Rosenthal, curator of 20th-century art, and Ruth E. Fine, curator of modern prints and drawings, were the exhibition curators, and Jasper Johns designed the exhibition. Ford Motor Company supported the exhibition. Additional support was provided by indemnities from the Federal Council on the Arts and the Humanities, and from Her Majesty's Treasury (Great Britain).
