Permanent Employment

Photograph of man working on a large map on a light table. All permanent Forest Service jobs (along with other federal jobs) are advertised through the Office of Personnel Management's USAJOBS website. You can search the openings by agency, by location, by salary range or by "series", a system for identifying the type of work. Many positions are only open to current Federal Employees; if you say no to the question on the search form about whether or not you are a current employee, only the jobs open to everyone will be shown in the search results.
