简介
死亡率是全球衡量人群健康状态的指标,也是公共卫生措施和医疗情况的指针。多项研究报告了患有心理疾病的个体死亡率有所升高,但还几乎没有研究将注意力放在各州之间的比较和公共心理健康服务受益人的死亡率和死因的一致性上。

方法
我们通过使用调整年龄后的死亡率、标准化的死亡率比值以及潜在寿命损失年数,比较了八个州公共心理健康服务受益人的死亡率及其所在州一般人群的死亡率。我们研究中使用的是八个州(亚利桑那州、密苏里州、俄克拉荷马州、罗德岛州、德克萨斯州、犹他州、佛蒙特州和维吉尼亚州)于1997年到2000年十六州心理健康绩效测量(Sixteen-State Study on Mental Health Performance Measures)中,由公共心理健康机构提交的数据。十六州心理健康绩效测量是一项由联邦资助,心理健康服务中心(Center for Mental Health Services)与全国各州心理健康计划主管联合会(National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors)协作的多州研究。

结果

结论
心理健康和身体健康是密不可分的;提供医疗服务的系统内应该同时提供两种医疗服务,并把两种服务联系起来。应该加强对死亡率和基础医疗服务的追踪研究,以便为进一步的行动、治疗方法的调整、诊断特异性风险和以证据为基础的实践提供资讯。
