A PMA production approval allows you to produce and sell FAA approved aircraft parts that are eligible for installation on FAA type certificated aircraft.

PMA is not transferable. PMA is valid until surrendered, withdrawn or terminated. The approval applies only to the location of the fabrication and inspection system. One may sell PMA data to another, but the buyer must get a separate PMA.

Withdrawing Your PMA

If you no longer want to produce and sell PMA parts, send a letter to your local Manufacturing Inspection District Office (MIDO) stating that you wish to withdraw your PMA. Then you will turn in your original PMA letter and supplements to the FAA. Contact your local MIDO about your remaining inventory of material and parts.
