Press Release MEDIA ALERT: National Archives' Federal Register to Place Certificates of Ascertainment on Public Inspection

ATTN: PHOTO EDITORS AND TV CREWS

Washington, DC. . . On Thursday, November 30, the National Archives' Office of the Federal Register will place the Certificates of Ascertainment from the 2000 Presidential election from the states of Louisiana, Alabama and Florida (and any other certificates that have been received) on public inspection. The Certificates of Ascertainment include the listing of electors who will vote on December 18.

The original documents will be available for photographing between 1 PM and 3 PM at the Federal Register which is located at 800 N. Capitol Street, NW, Suite 700. This is a one-time only opportunity to film the original documents. Photocopies will continue to be available for public inspection at the Federal Register and on the Web (www.archives.gov).

There will be no interview opportunities.
