Postponed: National Archives Unveiling of Encasements for Charters of Freedom
Washington, DC. . . The National Archives is postponing its announcement of its plans to assure the safety of America's Charters of Freedom--the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution, and the Bill of Rights--in the 21st century. This ceremony, originally scheduled for February 11, 1999, will be rescheduled. A new notice will be distributed to the media.
