Scientists Who Wish To Be Considered For Service as Reviewers

CSR's Scientific Review Officers (SROs) are responsible for appointing study section members and temporary reviewers. There are a number of sources that SROs utilize to identify potential reviewers (see How Scientists Are Selected for Study Section Service).

Occasionally scientists identify themselves as wishing to be considered for service as peer reviewers. If you are interested in being considered you should first identify which of the Integrated Review Groups (IRGs) or which study section is most appropriate for your expertise. The listings of study sections, which are categorized under their respective IRGs have links to the roster listings that will allow you to contact the SRO, send your curriculum vita (CV) and ask to be considered for service as a reviewer.

There are certain qualifications for reviewers and a number of factors that SROs must consider when selecting reviewers for a study section meeting (see How Scientists Are Selected for Study Section Service).

If you are selected, the SRO or IRG Chief will contact you directly.
