Intent to Submit Website
The Intent to Submit (ITS) is a key step in the proposal submission process.
It is intended to assist investigators by ensuring that their research is
appropriate to the goals of HSR&D and VA. The ITS also provides HSR&D the
opportunity to plan for resources and conduct other administrative functions
that allow for an efficient and effective review cycle.
It is the
responsibility of the R&D Administrative Officer at the center or facility to review the information that will be
submitted to ensure accuracy and conformance to all requirements before
the ITS is submitted. The ITS must be completed and submitted on-line
approximately 6 weeks before a given proposal deadline (dates change each round -- check
the ITS website for exact dates) in order for a proposal to be accepted for consideration.
Proposals that have not complied with this requirement will not be accepted for review.
The Intent to Submit (ITS) web application is maintained by the ART program and can be accessed
via the VA Intranet at http://art.puget-sound.med.va.gov/. (Please copy and paste
