November 2003 Feature Article: Retirement

Retirement Shadow Box

October 31, 2003- During the next three months the Phoenix Area will be experiencing the loss of employees due to retirement. All of these employees have a number of years of service with the Indian Health Service and they have made significant contributions to the Phoenix Area.

As a tribute to their contribution to the Phoenix Area Indian Health Service, we would like to personally extend our congratulations and wish Godspeed in any endeavor they will participate in upon retirement.

There are many memories and salutations that will be shared and presented to them at their retirement luncheons and dinners, but the personal contribution to a career in public service can never go unnoticed, it is an admirable achievement.

It is at this time that many of our retirees will be honored in their professional achievements, but let us not forget those who stood behind them and supported them when they met one rough road or two, let us honor their families, too.

Thank you for your public service!
