Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System

Our Services

The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System has been caring for Louisiana's veterans since 1946. Originally known as the New Orleans Veterans Affairs Medical Center, we have grown. There are now six locations throughout southeast Louisiana providing primary care and mental health services.

Today's veterans have a comprehensive benefits package which VA administers through an annual patient enrollment system. The enrollment system is based on priority groups to ensure that health care benefits are readily available to all eligible veterans.

Once you are enrolled, you will be assigned to a primary care team located at one of the system's VA Outpatient Clinics. You can choose the clinic location most convenient for you. The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System also provides specialty care in the following areas:

Your primary care physician can discuss your treatment needs with you before referring you to one of our specialty care clinics.
