Judge H. Peter Young
Judge H. Peter Young graduated from Connecticut College (B.A., B.S., 1983), Yale University (M.S., 1984) and the University of Connecticut School of Law (J.D., 1987). He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut, as well as before the U. S. Supreme Court and other federal courts.
Prior to joining FERC as an Administrative Law Judge in 1997, Judge Young engaged in private practice with the New York City office of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae and as principal of his own firm, concentrating on energy, environmental and corporate law.
Judge Young is a certified mediator and neutral for the New York Federal District Courts (E.D.N.Y.;S.D.N.Y.), as well as a certified arbitrator for the New York City Civil Court, Commercial Division.
