  Question
What types of loans qualify for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program?
  Answer

Government (Federal, State, or local) and commercial loans obtained by the participant to pay for school tuition, other reasonable educational and reasonable living expenses are eligible for repayment through the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program.

The loans for tuition and expenses are limed to those incurred by the participant for undergraduate or graduate education pursued prior to obtaining a degree in the health profession in which the participant will satisfy his or her National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program service obligation.

For details on qualifying loans, see to the Qualifying Education Loans section of the Applicant Information Bulletin.
