Online services

  • Online Catalog
The DOT Library's Online Catalog contains over 80,000 bibliographic records, with more being added each day.  You can search or browse the catalog by title, author, subject, or a number of other different access points.
  • Online Digital Special Collections
Our Online Digital Special Collections consist of important, historical collections of documents which the Library has digitized in order to broaden access. There will be many more digital special collections to follow.

Other free services

The public has access to all library materials, including reference sources, to be used in the library only.  Borrowing privileges can be arranged for members of the general public via inter-library loan.

The Library's reference collections consist of heavily used materials in the areas of:

  • General transportation
  • Transportation statistics
  • Engineering
  • Government information (Federal, state, and local)
  • Company information
  • Legal information

The reference librarians at all locations can direct you to the most appropriate materials for your needs.
