Praying for the success of the Afghan people

I have come to love the Afghan people, from doing lots of reading and research.  What a unique, strong, and beautiful people, and they deserve so much to live peaceful lives, free of the Taliban.

I know you already have people working on the right track, with advisors like Greg Mortenson, who wrote the book Three Cups of Tea.  I really have faith that if the American people are consistantly shown the true nature of the people and the culture there, we can support them in so many ways, and love them enough to get the Taliban out of there.  We are really capable of helping so much more, if their lives could be much more publicized on cable TV and other news shows, Americans would generously help, I believe.

I wanted to give you and others these links for resources to begin to do even just a little...support for Afghan women's businesses to help fight the opium trade, and also some more links so people can be educated about the beautiful world over there, and be able to find many ways to help, other than just with our military.

Once I learned the Taliban was not about religion, that they are just thugs, and a truly criminal element, it was much easier to have hope for the Afghan people.  I will pray for these people everyday.

Thank you so much for all you are doing
