Comments on Peer Review:
This Plan has been revised following the 7/17/08 - 8/14/08 Peer Review and Public Comment period. A second Peer Review and Public Comment period will now follow revision of the First Draft of the USP.

The first peer review produced a large number of highly constructive suggestions for improvements in the scientific completeness and the readability of the USP. Following the completion of substantial revisions to the document based on these comments and on many other useful suggestions received from the public during the public comment period, a second peer review and public comment period will be conducted.

First stage of peer review started:  7/17/2008.
Next stage estimated start: 11/25/2008. There will be additional opportunity for public comment.

Prior to the second peer review, the reviewers will be provided with the public comments that were received during the first public comment period.
