Comments on Peer Review:
Re panel review type:  The review is being conducted through the Independent Science Advisory Board (ISAB), which is co-sponsored by NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), the Northwest Power and Conservation Council, and the Columbia River Indian Tribes.  The ISAB was created to foster a scientific approach to fish and wildlife recovery and the use of sound scientific methods in research related to the sponsors’ programs.

In January 2006, documents were provided to the Independent Science Advisory Board (ISAB -http://www.nwcouncil.org/fw/isab/Default.htm) for review.  In March 2006, the ISAB provided a review back to NMFS (available at: http://www.nwcouncil.org/library/isab/isab2006-2.htm).  In June 2006, NMFS provided revised documents to the ISAB for additional review, and the ISAB provided additional review comments in August 2006 (available at: http://www.nwcouncil.org/library/isab/isab2006-6.htm). The August review completes the review of the passage (non-latent) part of the assignment. In November 2006, additional material specific to latent mortality was provided to the ISAB. The ISAB provided comments on the latent mortality portion of the model in April 2007 (http://www.nwcouncil.org/library/isab/isab2007-1.htm). The final version of the entire model was provided to the ISAB for a final review February 26, 2008, and the ISAB provided its final review in June 2008 (available: http://www.nwcouncil.org/library/isab/isab2008-3.htm).  This review is now complete, and there will be no further updates.
