LNG - FERC's LNG Highlights - June 30, 2005
    Commissioners vote no on KeySpan LNG, but approve Weaver's Cove and Golden Pass LNG terminals

      KeySpan LNG Facility Upgrade
      Citing safety concerns, FERC did not approve the construction and operation of the proposed KeySpan LNG terminal in Providence, Rhode Island. This was the first time that FERC had denied approval of a proposed LNG terminal.

      Weaver's Cove LNG Terminal and Mill River Pipeline
      FERC approved the construction and operation of the proposed Weaver's Cove LNG and Mill River pipeline in Fall River, Massachusetts. The approval is conditioned upon implementation of FERC staff's mitigation measures to ensure safety, security and the environment in the project area.

      Golden Pass LNG Terminal and Pipeline
      FERC approved the construction and operation of the proposed terminal and 120-mile pipeline near Sabine Pass, Texas.
