As you use the Library’s databases, for example in OPPIE, you will notice a red and white icon on your search results.

This is the LinkSeeker icon, and clicking on it will open a window with an array of links connecting you to full-text electronic content and other options that can enhance your original search.

What will LinkSeeker do for you?

  • tell you if the full-text is available
  • connect you to an order process if the full-text is not available, such as requesting a copy of an article
  • locate other articles by the author (via FlashPoint)
  • do a web search -- with your choice of search engine
  • do a search in other libraries to find additional source materials (Library of Congress, MELVYL/University of California, or the Library catalog)
  • do a search in DOE’s InfoBridge for full-text reports
  • get help from reference librarians
