  Nursing Scholarship Award Determinations
  Question
How does the Nursing Scholarship Program decide who receives a scholarship award?
  Answer

Determination of which eligible applicants will receive an award is based on a three tier preference scale with the highest preference given to applicants who

  • have greatest financial need,
  • are full-time students, and
  • are completing undergraduate education.

Greatest financial need is determined using the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) number from each Student Aid Report (SAR) derived from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

For more information, see the Funding Preferences and Awards section of the Applicant Information Bulletin.
