October 09, 2008 - James Edward Bonk Jr. was arrested by
Mexican Law Enforcement Officials in Reynosa, Tampaulipas, Mexico
for violating the immigration laws of the Republic of Mexico. The
arrest was the result of a joint investigation by the Joint East
Texas Fugitive Task Force Tyler division, Gulf Coast Violent
Offenders Task Force McAllen division, Texas Department of Public
Safety Motor Vehicle Theft Service Athens and Mexican Law
Enforcement in Tampaulipas.

September 18, 2008 -
Oswald Jones was arrested as he left the apartment of a known
associate in Oklahoma City. Jones was wanted in Fannin County, Texas
for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The arrested was the
culmination of a multi-agency and multi-jurisdictional effort lead
by the United States Marshal’s Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force.

August 14, 2008
- On 07/25/08, Preston Dewayne Hightower
fled the Grayson County Justice Center after being found guilty by a
jury on three counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. After
nearly three weeks on the run, Preston Hightower was arrested in
Sioux Falls, South Dakota at a roofing job site by members of the
U.S. Marshal’s Sioux Falls Area Joint Fugitive Task Force.

April 29, 2008
- The Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force, sponsored by the United
States Marshals Service, is slated to hold two one day training
seminars for state and local law enforcement agencies in east Texas.
The first seminar will be held May 21, 2008 at the Collin County
Community College in McKinney with the second to be held on May 22,
2008 at the Tyler Junior College (West Campus) in Tyler. The
seminars will focus on cutting edge law enforcement techniques for
tracking down and apprehending violent criminals who are on the run
from the law and do not want to be caught.

February 28, 2008 -
Christopher Michael Hennessy was
arrested by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Houston,
TX. Hennessy was wanted by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on
arrest warrants for probation violation / motion to adjudicate
guilt, instant offense of sexual assault of child, possession of
controlled substance, and failure to comply with sex offender
registration laws.

January 11, 2008
- On January 10th the Joint East Texas Fugitive
Task Force, Sherman, TX received word from the Alaska Fugitive
Task Force that Christopher Lloyd Vineyard had been apprehended. Vineyard was
apprehended at his place of employment in the Alyeska Resort of
Girdwood, Alaska without incident. Vineyard has been wanted by the
State of Texas for parole warrants based on Burglary of a Habitation and
Aggravated Robbery. Vineyard and an accomplice had robbed the victim
using a 9mm pistol. Vineyard faces the additional charges on Harris
County Texas indictment of aggravated sexual assault of a child under
the age of 14.

January 10, 2008
- Forty-one year old JD Todd of Ben Wheeler,
TX was arrested today in Tyler, TX. Todd was wanted by Van Zandt County
authorities for Criminal Attempt/Indecency with a Child (3rd Degree
Felony) and Improper Photo/Visual Recording of a Child (State Jail
Felony). Mr. Todd was booked into the Smith County Jail at 12:00 p.m.
today.

December
17, 2007 - On 12/12/2007, John Milton Stephens 41, a former NFL
star and U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive was arrested on a state warrant
issued by Shelby County authorities for Failure to Register as a Sex
Offender. Stephens was apprehended in Greenwood, Louisiana by members of
the U.S. Marshals Western Louisiana Fugitive Task Force.
- November 30,
2007 -
Dr. Priya Ramnath an anesthesiologist at Woodland Hills Hospital in
Lufkin was arrested at the hospital by the Joint East Texas Fugitive
Task Force and members of the Lufkin Police Department. Dr. Ramnath
was arrested without incident on a Warrant from Great Britain; the
Warrant charges Dr. Ramnath with Manslaughter – Contrary to Common
Law.
- July 26,
2007 -
Charles Don Brawdy, a Parole Violator
with charges pending for Injury to a Child, was arrested by Deputy
U.S. Marshals with the Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force. After an intense
manhunt, Brawdy was located and arrested without incident and booked into the
Grayson County Jail.
- July 24, 2007
- Jody Paul Sadler had
recently escaped from law enforcement after a high speed chase in
which he held a gun to the drivers head to force her to attempt to
elude officers. Sadler then ran on foot through a wooded area to
escape. On Monday evening, July 23rd,
members of the Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force arrested Sadler
at a residence in Bonham, Texas.
