General The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Summer Employment Initiative is designed to: (1) attract talented students to the workforce for summer employment opportunities in entry-level positions, and (2) provide the students with a positive work and learning and developmental experience.
Eligibility
  • Interns must have 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale
  • Interns must be U.S. Citizens
  • Interns must be in good academic standing and provide a copy of their current transcript (for college) or class schedule (for high school)
Open To College-level and high school students
Compensation The salary ranges are based on their educational background, prior work experience, and volunteer experience.
Periods Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter (NTE 6 months for initial appointment)
Selection Process Qualifications assessment is performed by the local servicing Human Resource (HR) office.
