1997 MINERAL REVENUES REPORT NOW AVAILABLE

 

The U.S. Department of the Interior’s Minerals Management Service’s Minerals Revenues 1997 Report On Receipts From Federal And Indian Leases, is now available in both electronic and print versions.

The 148-page publication reports on the 1997 activities of the MMS Royalty Management Program, including collection of $6.7 billion in bonuses, rents and royalties from Indian and federal offshore and onshore minerals leases.

The annual report also offers tables and statistics relating to the generation, distribution and history of revenues obtained under this program. Among the information offered are sales amounts, values and royalties for a variety of minerals in individual states.

The 1997 publication, and earlier editions, are now available on MMS’s Internet site at http://www.mrm.mms.gov/library/statroom/statsrm.htm.
