Files listed in the table below are for the Gulf of Mexico OCS Region only.  Paleontologic Information and Data includes publicly releasable biostratigraphic and paleobathymetric summary information on active and expired fields and leases in the Gulf of Mexico.  The foraminiferal and coccolith biostratigraphic markers are placed in their proper chronologic, chronostratigraphic and chronozonal context as determined by the MMS Resource Evaluation Paleontologic Group (see MMS Biostratigraphic Chart of the Gulf of Mexico Offshore Region, Jurassic to Quaternary).

Please read our disclaimer prior to downloading files.  Download a copy of the file you want by clicking on Fixed Text Format under the Download column of the table below.  The Fixed Format provides a defined length for each field within the file (see layouts).  Once you have downloaded the data and have decompressed the file using PKZIP or WinZip, the data can then be imported into a variety of database or spreadsheet packages to facilitate queries or reports.
