SearchPlus provides searching across multiple databases, cited reference searching, and many features to facilitate use of search results and to keep up with the literature.

SearchPlus Features:

  • login to set personal settings for your preferred ways of interacting with the database
  • search results are de-duped when a record is retrieved from more than one database
  • view bibliographies (article references) with one click from the results list, and the bibliographies have been enhanced with fuller citations where available
  • access full-text and other resources through the LinkSeeker icon
  • mark records on the results list to print, e-mail or download records in several formats
  • do automatic downloading into bibliographic management software such as EndNote, ProCite and RefWorks
  • browse cited authors and search cited references in a completely re-designed interface
  • set up alerts to stay current with the literature
  • use the author lookup list to find author names as recorded in the databases
  • refine a search by using the "Revise this search" link on the results page
  • view your search history
  • easily do multiple searches for a given period, because date ranges you set are kept for the session ("sticky dates")

Future plans include adding more content, such as ISI SciSearch early years, and other interface improvements based on research and customer feedback.

Access to SearchPlus is limited to staff of LANL and other subscribing institutions.
