VA leadership is committed to making VA a healthcare leader for women's health. Recognizing research's important contributions to improving the quality of VA health care, VA's Chief of Staff asked the Office of Research and Development to develop a comprehensive women's healthcare research agenda. In November 2004 VA's Office of Research and Development gathered experts from within and outside VA for a two day working meeting entitled "Moving Toward a VA's Women's Health Research Agenda: Setting Evidence-Based Research Priorities for Improving the Health and Care of Women Veterans." Meeting participants were divided into topically focused groups and tasked with identifying the gaps in our understanding of women veterans' health and healthcare and with identifying the research priorities and infrastructure required to fill those gaps.

The meeting agenda (74 KB, PDF) details the meeting presentations, workgroup deliberations, reports, and panel response. The presentations are archived here for on-demand viewing. Macromedia flash player is required for viewing the meeting archives — click here to download Flash Player.
