BATON ROUGE, La. -- The Baton Rouge Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) operations at 101 France Street will end on Saturday, April 8 at 5 p.m. the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will continue their operations at this location through to the close of business on April 13.
This DRC has served more than 19,000 applicants at its location since it opened on Sept.15, 2005. said Federal Coordinating Officer Scott Wells.
Applicants may also access information by calling the Helpline at 1-800-621-3362. Hearing- or speech- impaired individuals may register by calling 1-800-462-7585. All DRCs operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Representatives of state, federal, as well as customer service representatives from the SBA, are on hand to answer questions and provide recovery information. No cash, checks, debit cards or vouchers are distributed at Disaster Recovery Centers. These centers are for the dissemination of information to assist in victim recovery. Written materials about various state and federal programs are also available to individuals and business owners.

These DRCs are open from Mon. thru Sat. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until further notice.
