Cape Girardeau, MO, March 27, 2008 -- Four year old, Alison Schaefer and her doll, Delana, stand in a park near their home in Cape Girardeau.
In 1993 this area was completely flooded and the community participated in a FEMA buyout where 97 homes were purchased and the area was converted into a park. This year the area survived the 2008 Mississippi flooding.
