Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Sand Canyon – Douglas County, WA

Brief Description of This Map:

The map indicates this project is located in the center of the state of Washington in the 
western portion of Douglas County (at the northern limits of East Wenatchee).  It is about 
90 miles east of the City of Seattle.

The map utilizes USGS quadrangle maps as the base.  It has contour lines, basic 
topographic features, and East Wenatchee.  The ground slopes from the Badger Mountain 
Ridge in the east to the Columbia River in the west.  East Wenatchee is located adjacent 
to and east of the Columbia River.

Overlain and highlighted on the map are the: drainage basin boundary for Sand Canyon 
(and Sand Canyon Creek), the four distinct sections of the drainage basin, Sand Canyon 
Creek, Sand Canyon, Badger Mountain Road, and Eastmont Avenue.
