Dockets
Dockets is an electronic library of legal records for cases that are pending before the
Commission or that have been decided. Dockets provides access to summaries of Active Cases, All
Cases, Opinions & Decisions, Orders, and Rate Commission Archives (1971-2004). Through the case summaries, users have access to
summaries of filed documents by document type for each case and a detail page for each document.
Active Cases are matters presently pending before the Commission. The Active Cases page provides a
summary of each case with links to the document types and individual documents filed for each case.
All the pending and closed cases of the Commission are organized into docket types: Rate, Mail
Classification, Complaint, Rulemaking, Appeal PO Closing, Nature of Service, Public Inquiry,
Competitive Products, Reports, and Other Matters. A page for each docket type summarizes each
case and provides links to the document types and individual documents filed for each case.
The Opinions and Recommended Decisions issued by the Commission are listed in a document summary
page by Docket number, date, and title. Selecting the title opens a document detail page, which
provides record details and access to the physical documents for viewing and printing.
Orders issued by the Commission are listed in a document summary page by Docket number, date, and
title. Selecting the title opens a document detail page, which provide record details and access to
the physical documents for viewing and printing.
Records for cases before 2005 are stored in the Archives database. These cases predate the
introduction of electronic document filing. Scanned images of each record is maintained by a
Laserfiche system. Selecting Archives from the Library menu directs a user to the Archives interface
for document searches.
