WATCH NOW! GovBenefits.gov's 6th Anniversary Webcast - Celebrating 6 Years of Serving Citizens

On April 24th 2008, GovBenefits.gov will commemorate its 6 years of service to citizens with a free webcast, featuring first-hand accounts from several citizens and organizations who have found not only hope, but help, on GovBenefits.gov.

The webcast introduces two innovative and exciting features; the new SSA Benefits Eligibility Screening Tool (BEST), powered by GovBenefits.gov, and the GovDelivery mail subscription service. The presentation also highlights the dedication of GovBenefits.gov's partner agencies, which help to make it all possible, and includes special guest speakers U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Elaine L. Chao and Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management Patrick Pizzella.

With over 1,000 Federal and State administered benefit and assistance programs, GovBenefits.gov offers programs for almost every citizen need, including food/nutrition, education, housing, disaster assistance, unemployment/job training, healthcare, and more. Since its inception, GovBenefits.gov has surpassed a key milestone of serving 25 million visitors and has referred more than 6.8 million citizens to specific benefit programs. Beyond this, GovBenefits.gov takes pride in saving citizens' valuable time by making it possible to search and find relevant benefit programs in a matter of minutes.
