Findings from the Field: Lessons from Maine, Minnesota, Texas, and Wisconsin: The Continuum of Work Groups in the Rural Hospital Flexibility Program (Volume 1, Number 13, March 19, 2001)

This newsletter describes work groups formed by many states to provide stakeholder input into development of a rural health plan and implementation of the State Flex Program. It presents continuum of work group responsibilities and activities, including Planning Group, Advisory/Steering Committee, and Coalition Models. It explains benefits of work group participation in the Flex Program; gives considerations in choosing organizations to include; and expectations for development of work groups.
