Manuals and Newsletters
The National Center for PTSD produces manuals and newsletters for a wide variety of audiences including the general public, as well as researchers and clinicians.
Manuals and Guides
Training manuals and guides are provided to assist veterans, family members, and a variety of caregivers. A selection of Handouts is also available. All manuals, guides and handouts are available for downloading. The PTSD Information Center includes many articles that can be used as handouts.
Newsletters
The National Center tries to keep all professionals up-to-date with the latest in trauma research and how it can be applied. Our new newsletter: Clinician’s Trauma Update (CTU-Online) does this by providing you with summaries of clinically relevant publications in the trauma field. The summaries are presented in brief format with links to the full article, when available. Content on treatment and assessment is emphasized. Publications on other topics are included if the content has significant clinical implications. If you would like, you can subscribe to the CTU-Online newsletter.
Professionals may be interested in the Center's PTSD Research Quarterly (RQ) newsletter. Each RQ contains review articles written by guest experts on specific topics related to PTSD. If you would like, you can subscribe to the PTSD RQ newsletter.
Another newsletter, published by the Center from 1990-2003, is the PTSD Clinical Quarterly (CQ). The CQ targeted practicing clinicians and administrators and provided them with an overview of the major clinical, theoretical, and programmatic developments in the field.
