Training and Educational Materials

The National Center strives to get the most up-to-date, evidence based information on causes, assessment, and treatment of traumatic stress disorders into the hands of mental health providers. Some of the educational materials include:

PTSD 101

A web-based training course on PTSD traumatic stress for professionals at all levels of experience. Practitioners can choose specific modules they are interested in and earn continuing education credits.

Here, find manuals such as Psychological First Aid: A manual for working with disaster victims in the immediate aftermath of disaster.

Handouts

The Handouts in this section are provided in the following categories: General, Veterans and their Families, and Disaster. Many of our Fact Sheets can be printed and used as handouts. Please see the PTSD Information Center for Fact Sheets that are written for a general audience.
