This report is the seventh in a series of nationally broadcast technical assistance telephone conference calls focusing on state operated AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs). It discussed critical issues including funding, drug access, accountability, Medicaid waivers, expenditures, invoices, staffing, computerization, and drug coverage options. The ADAP Technical assistance teleconference call series is intended to provide a forum for the exchange of information among ADAPs, DHS/HRSA and NASTAD; update key activities and developments in ADAP programs; and, offer a forum to discuss models and strategies that ADAPs are using to respond to the critical challenges they face in providing access to effective treatments for low-income, uninsured people living with HIV disease. It includes the content of the presentation and the discussion that took place during a Q & A session with conference call participants.
