The United States International Trade Commission (ITC) today reaffirmed its affirmative determinations in connection with the remand of its five-year (sunset) reviews of imports of ball bearings from France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.

The Commission found on remand that revoking the existing antidumping duty orders on imports of ball bearings from France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the United States within a reasonably foreseeable time.

Vice Chairman Jennifer A. Hillman and Commissioners Marcia E. Miller and Stephen Koplan voted in the affirmative. Chairman Deanna Tanner Okun and Commissioners Charlotte R. Lane and Daniel R. Pearson did not participate in these votes.

The reviews involving these products were remanded to the ITC by the U.S. Court of International Trade (CIT) on September 3, 2003. The ITC had previously made affirmative determinations in June 2000.
