ITC VOTES TO CONTINUE CASE ON TETRAHYDROFURFURYL ALCOHOL FROM CHINA

The United States International Trade Commission (ITC) today determined that there is a reasonable indication that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol from China that are allegedly sold in the United States at less than fair value.

All Commissioners voted in the affirmative.

As a result of the Commission's affirmative determination, the Department of Commerce will continue to conduct its antidumping investigation of imports of tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol from China, with its preliminary determination due on or about December 1, 2003.

The Commission's public report Tetrahydrofurfuryl Alcohol from China (Investigation No. 731- TA-1046 (Preliminary), USITC Publication 3620, August 2003) will contain the views of the Commission and information developed during the investigation.
