The United States International Trade Commission (ITC) today determined on remand that revoking the existing countervailing duty and antidumping duty orders on imports of certain carbon steel products (cut-to-length plate) from Belgium and Germany would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the United States within a reasonably foreseeable time.

All four Commissioners made affirmative determinations.

The reviews involving these products were remanded to the ITC by the U.S. Court of International Trade (CIT) on December 20, 2002. The ITC had previously made affirmative determinations in the original five-year (sunset) reviews in November 2000 and in the first remand of thse reviews in July 2002.

The ITC's remand determination will be delivered to the CIT by March 28, 2003.
