Pursuant to the eighteen-month publication provisions of the American Inventors Protection Act of 1999 (AIPA), the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)  publishes pending applications, other than design, reissue or provisional applications as patent application publications (PAPs), on the Thursday of each week. See Changes to Implement Eighteen-Month Publication of Patent Applications [PDF], 65 Fed. Reg. 57023, 57028 (Sept. 20, 2000), 1239 Off. Gaz. Pat. Office 63, 67 (Oct. 10, 2000). The USPTO published the first group of applications as PAPs under the 18-month publication provisions of the AIPA on March 15, 2001. The USPTO is providing the following projection of the number of applications that will be published for the next 8 weeks under the 18-month publication provisions of the AIPA.  This site is updated weekly.
