The Office of Patent Planning and Capacity
Analysis, performs program-specific strategic, long-range and operational
planning for the program areas reporting to the Commissioner for Patents;
prepares plans reflecting the decisions of the Commissioner for Patents
on program alternatives and allocation of resources; in collaboration
with the Office of Corporate Planning, conducts research and econometric
studies and prepares related forecasts for Patent programs; conducts
analyses of business processes, reengineering plans, and customer service
needs; and provides related analytical support.
