Mission
The Gene Targeting Facility (GTF) provides technical and research services to NIDCR laboratories for the generation of transgenic and gene knockout mouse models. These services will include 1) consultations on developing strategies for gene targeting and transgenic research projects, 2) provide technical services for microinjections, embryo transfer and generation of chimeras, and 3) maintain research projects on new developments in transgenic technologies with special emphasis on generation of mouse models to study disorders of immune system and neuronal matrix components.
