Research Interests

To understand the developmental mechanisms of salivary gland development with emphasis on growth factor/matrix interactions and the genetic regulation of branching morphogenesis; to investigate the role of FGFs, laminin isoforms, proteases, and to identify novel genes involved in salivary gland development.

Education

1986: BDS, University of Otago School of Dentistry, Dunedin, New Zealand
1994: PhD, University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Rochester, NY
