In the ongoing effort to create a healthier world, NIDCR has longstanding relationships with global partners, including the:
NIDCR serves as a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Center for Epidemiology, Prevention and Treatment of Oral Diseases and Conditions and is part of the network of WHO Collaborating Centers around the world. NIDCR also works with U.S.-based organizations involved in global oral health, including the American Dental Association, the American Dental Education Association, the American Association for Dental Research, international health offices of the U.S. government, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
In addition, ongoing projects throughout the world, funded in part by the NIDCR, involve people from many different countries and backgrounds working together to address complex research questions. NIDCR promotes multinational cooperation to further oral health research.
