June 12-13, 2000 In Washington, DC

The US Surgeon General views the oral health of children as a significant public health issue. A Surgeon General's Report on Oral Health has been commissioned that will feature children's issues. Dr. Satcher, the US Surgeon General, has also scheduled a Surgeon General's Workshop and a Surgeon General's Conference to bring attention to the impact of oral health on children's overall health and wellbeing, and to promote action steps to eliminate disparities in children's oral health. This child health problem is everyone's problem so join us for the Surgeon General's Conference "Face of a Child" on June 12-13, 2000 in Washington, DC. We'd like you to be as serious as Dr. Satcher about children and their oral health so that all children can smile.
