NITAAC STRENGTHENS CONTRACTING SERVICES FOR MIPRS
In order to enhance
NITAAC’s contracting services to its MIPR customers, NITAAC is strengthening
its involvement with IT acquisition planning and security for those customers.
Acquisition Planning
In accordance with FAR 7.102, which states that “Agencies
shall perform acquisition planning and conduct market research … for all
acquisitions”, the NITAAC Contracting Officer will now actively assist MIPR
customers with their acquisition planning.
MIPR customers must prepare an acquisition plan for all
acquisitions placed through NITAAC. The
NITAAC Contracting Officer is available to assist and support this process.
FAR 7.105 contains detailed section-by-section guidance for
the contents of an acquisition plan.
MIPR customers should refer to it for guidance in preparing their
acquisition plans. Click

Cognizance Customer Agency Contracting Officer
Customers
submitting MIPRs and or IAAs will need to first coordinate their request with
their cognizant agency Contracting Officer.
The agency Contracting Officer will first ensure that all internal
agency-specific contracting issues are addressed before NITAAC accepts the
order. The agency Contracting Officer
will provide a Determination and Findings
(D&F)
to the customer which will in turn be provided to the NITAAC Contracting
Officer for processing the MIPR or IAA.
