Tuba City Indian Medical Center

The Tuba City Indian Medical Center (TCIMC) is a 65-bed regional hospital with adjacent outpatient clinic serving the needs of 35,000 Hopi, Navajo and Paiute Tribal Members. Members of the medical staff are all board eligible or certified in their specialties of OB-GYN, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Anaethesiology, Orthopedics, Radiology and Emergengy Medicine. Most physicians share every fourth night and weekend call. Responsibilities include providing back up for the emergency department, which has roughly 20,000 visits per year and back up for the midwives on labor and delivery.

Tuba City Indian Medical Center

Tuba City is located on the western part of the Navajo Reservation approximately 70 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona. It is a small town of 8,000 people. Life in Tuba City is that of a small town but with many opportunities for outdoor recreation, cultural experiences and fellowship with interesting and adventurous people. The geologic wonders of the Colorado plateau nearby include the Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion National Parks, and Lake Powell. Camping, hiking, downhill and cross-country skiing, white water rafting and kayaking are all available and very popular among Tuba City employees.
