IHS Headquarters Exchange Web Email

Click here for Secure Access to IHS Email.

From the desk of the Chief Information Officer:

Now that the IHS has made a step forward in migrating to Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory and Exchange email services, we will be able to bring you additional capabilities and tools to improve the services that help you get your job done. One such service is Internet access to your mailbox over a secure connection. Yes, in the same manner that you might access your bank, you can now access your email over the same type of secure link. This is done through a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol which provides 128 bit encryption from your browser interface to the Exchange email services residing inside the IHS network from anywhere in the world. In simple terms, this process provides an acceptable level of communication security between you and your mailbox. If your site has been migrated to Windows 2003 Active Directory and Exchange 2003, then you have everything you need to take advantage of this service.

The interface provided is that resembling the Outlook client provided with Microsoft Office 2003. If you are already using Outlook 2003 then you will be right at home. If not, you will probably be asking your local IT staff for an upgrade to Microsoft Office 2003 very soon.
