Adolfo Correa, MD, PhDDr. Correa is a Medical Epidemiologist at the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Correa received a MS in chemistry and a MD from the University of California San Diego, and he went on to receive an MPH and PhD in epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins University (JHU). He trained in pediatrics at San Francisco General Hospital and at the University of California, San Francisco. He has been a member of the faculty at JHU since 1987, an Adjunct Professor in the Departments of Epidemiology (2004) and Global Health (2007) at Emory School of Public Health, and has been with CDC since 1998. His research focuses on the epidemiology of birth defects. He is a fellow of the American College of Epidemiology and a member of the Council of Cardiovascular Disease in the Young of the American Heart Association.
