| HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson today announced 68 grants totaling
$67 million to upgrade buildings and equipment at health facilities.
The grants from the Health Care and Other Facilities program,
administered by HHS's Health Resources and Services Administration,
provide construction and renovation assistance to research
facilities, hospitals and clinics.
The largest grant -- worth more than $19 million -- will
be used by West Virginia University Research Corporation in
Morgantown, W.Va., to build a new research facility.
