Nursing Scholarship Service Commitment & Applying for Jobs
  Question
When can a Nursing Scholar start applying for positions to fulfill the service commitment?
  Answer

Approximately 2 months prior to a scholar's graduation date, the Nursing Scholarship Program sends information about the employment process.

Scholars have up to 6 months from their date of graduation to

1) obtain a nursing license and

2) accept an offer of employment from an NSP-approved facility.

Recipients have up to 3 months following the day of their acceptance of such job offer to commence full-time (or, if approved, part-time) clinical services at the facility.

For more information on eligible facilities, see Fulfilling the Service Commitment (Applicant Information Bulletin).
