Program Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) IRTA Traineeships are
established for the principal benefit of the participants and to provide
opportunities for developmental training and practical research experience
in a variety of disciplines related to biomedical research, medical library
research and related fields.
General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a US
citizen or permanent resident. You must also be either a military
professional, or a current or prospective student in the field of health
care who is over the age of 15 and who is or has a family member enrolled in
a federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaskan Native
village.
